Caffeinated Tea Blend

A curious blend reminiscent of a walk through the Grimm woods of fairy tale and folklore. Take a step down the path with rosemary’s hint of woodsy taste to strength your step. Warm spiced nutmeg, cinnamon, star anise, and ginger curl around and dance on your steaming mug with orange peel while sweet and warm gourmand cacao and vanilla comfort you in the growing darkness of the rich black tea. A strong tea for those brave enough to wander towards the witch’s cottage in the last dim light of the gloaming.

The flavors and scent will change as the tea steeps, so be sure to take some time while your brew infuses to experience the journey.

Ingredients:

Black tea, butterscotch crunch (coconut flake, sugar, natural flavor), cinnamon, allspice, candied ginger, cacao nib, orange peel, star anise, ginger, rosemary*, and nutmeg.

*local | All ingredients are organic. This tea is caffeinated.

There are two sizes available: large jar (10 oz by VOLUME), and bag (roughly 1.75 oz by WEIGHT)

The Perfect Tea for an Autumn Witch!

I first tried this as part of a 3 tea sample set and it was so good I bought a whole jar!
The ingredients list alone was enough to make my mouth water, but I didn't expect it to translate so well into the actual taste!

On an initial smell, the allspice combination hits your nostrils immediately, then combines with the black tea nicely. The same can be said about the taste:

While it's nice and warm, it very much reminds me of a warm pumpkin pie in a cup, minus the pumpkin. Very subtle sweetness even without sugar. With sugar or honey, all the flavors (Especially the butterscotch) were enchanted into, what I believe, were the intended flavors. The caffeine is very subtle, and only really after a couple of cups do I feel the effects, so I can drink a couple in the morning before I start my day of witchery, and a cup at night before bed to relax.

Also, very delicious when my mug goes cold. I prefer it warm, but I've finished off a cooled off brew very happily! I could see myself making a nice iced tea with this even when the weather is more suitable for summer witches :)

Overall, my favorite tea from Old Growth Alchemy. Probably will become a staple in my own brew cabinet

A Bewitching Autumnal Brew 🍂☕️

I bought the Witching Hour tea blend on a whim last year because I was curious and wanted to try it and it did not disappoint. Witching Hour is kind of like a richer caffeinated taste similar to the Hexenhaus tea blend, so if you love Hexenhaus you’ll probably like this blend too.

With all the wonderful spices in this blend it tastes like you just got a delicious Halloween treat! 🎃

Dried Fruit and Spice

Bold tea with good depth. Strong "raisin" top note with smooth, warm undertones that mellow the acid of the fruit and black tea. Smells bright but drinks with some subtle bitterness (a good thing!--don't steep too long, though). Despite the name, I drink it mid-morning and/or share with guests. Great with savory pastries and butter or cheese.
