Caffeinated Tea Blend

 

The October Tea Guild Mystery Blend is the dark companion to Parting the Veil. A take on a London Fog, the brew takes on the sweetness of vanilla and pairs it with the rich bergamot from earl grey to give us an aromatic blend that swirls together with a black tea blend and a touch of milky oolong. A swirl of shimmer in the cup offers an extra air of mystery with each steep.

The flavors and scent will change as the tea steeps, so be sure to take some time while your brew infuses to experience the journey.

 

Ingredients:

Black tea, earl grey tea, oolong, vanilla bean, brew glitter.

The tea bag contains around 1.5 ounces of loose leaf tea, the jar contains 3.5-4 ounces of loose leaf tea.

A superior London Fog!

Earl grey is my personal favorite tea and London Fogs are my favorite tea shop drink. This blend is a lovely twist on them for easy making at home! The glitter always delights me to see, I love the small every day whimsy of it. The tea blend is so nice and so much more interesting than your average London Fog. For my tastes it has a welcome familiarity that makes it so cozy and comfortable! I love frothing up some oat milk to feel extra fancy and really make it a London Fog!

Probably my favorite Earl Grey blend 👻

This review is for my packet of “Spectre” as a member of the OGA Tea Guild for the October theme “Parting the Veil” but I will be ordering a large jar of this blend for myself soon.

I usually don’t go for straight Earl Grey teas most of the time, something about the bergamot is a little much for me. But I must say that OGA’s Spectre blend is one of the Earl Grey exceptions for me!
I think that the other ingredients in this blend, (Black tea, Oolong, & Vanilla bean) really help to mellow out most of the Earl Gray’s intense bergamot while still retaining the flavor for me. This was such a pleasant new blend for me during Octobers Tea Guild.
