Tea Notes: Rose / Herbaceous

Non-Caffeinated Tea Blend

A sweet delightful brew with a honeyed tongue. Honeybush sets the base for the blend offering its full bodied sweetness as a bed for aromatic lemon verbena and cozy tulsi to lay upon. Rose floats along the top as a delicious temptation. A brew you might consider wandering into fairyland for to get another taste.

This is a general release of the OGA Tea Guild themed blends. To join the tea club and receive access to the member releases when they happen, sign up for the OGA Tea Guild during the open period of the 1-5 of each month!

Recommend infusion of 1-2 tablespoon of loose tea per 8 oz of hot water and infusing for at least 5 minutes. The flavors and scent will change the longer it steeps, so be sure to take some time while your brew infuses to experience the journey.

Ingredients:

Tulsi, honeybush, rose, lemon verbena.

Such a lovely tea!

Tam Lin blend looks so beautiful. When I smell and taste it, I get the aroma and flavor of forest and roses. A nice bonus is that it's also one of the few teas that I can safely have all the time (due to having acid reflux).

A Taste of a Sweet Spellbinding Woods 🌹

Got my first taste of this tea blend as a member of the OGA Tea Guild for the June theme “Fairyland” and just bought more for myself in a big jar.

I really love this blend, the whole taste is just great for me!
One of the ingredients I go for in tea blends recently is honeybush (because I like sweet things) and this doesn’t disappoint, if you not familiar with honeybush the flavor of it is just as the name suggests: Honey.
The tulsi seems to add freshness to the blend flavor and the lemon verbena brings a really smooth citrus taste.
And of course you can’t have a Tam Lin inspired tea without including roses in it for the story, the roses give it the nice floral notes.

If you’re curious about the tale behind this blend I recommend the summarized video by the team over at Overly Sarcastic Productions on YouTube for the basics.
And if you’re looking for some nice music to go along with this blend I personally enjoy “Tam Lin (Child 39)” by singer Anais Mitchell & “Tamlin” by the German band Faun.
