Caffeinated Tea Blend

For the January OGA Tea Guild mystery blend we focused on a favorite fantasy series, Earthsea by Ursula K Le Guin, specifically The Tombs of Atuan. The blend is dark and smoky much like the underground passages where no light can enter but with some sweetness from apple, a memory of childhood for Tenar. The blend is a visual mix of dark and light with black tea and lapsang souchong plus the vibrancy of golden calendula petals like the lost treasures hidden in the darkness.

The flavors and scent will change as the tea steeps, so be sure to take some time while your brew infuses to experience the journey.

Ingredients:

Black tea, lapsang souchong, apple, calendula

The tea bag contains around 1.5 ounces of loose leaf tea, the jar contains 3.5-4 ounces of loose leaf tea.
