Tea Notes: Smoky / Floral / Dark

Caffeinated Tea Blend

A kiss of romance from the darkest depths, this tea was created to celebrate This is Oblivion's upcoming self-titled album, exploring the dark spirit of the project. With a base of black teas blended with lapsang souchong and the aromatic top note of rose, this blend is both heavy and light. The stunning label artwork by Fyodor Pavlov emphasizes the spirit of This is Oblivion, from the rich fire kissed rose aroma of the tea and dark audioscape of the songs.

This blend is named after the band This is Oblivion in celebration of their new record. Get in your pre-order now! Their record is "an exploration of the cyclical nature of connection; how every moment in time is paradoxically suspended somewhere between a moment of collapse and ascendance; how love can be an anchor when the world seems to be ending and love itself can feel like the end of the world."

The gorgeous illustrated label is by Fyodor Pavlov and the tea is limited to 100 bags, limited run available through Old Growth Alchemy or This is Oblivion's website. Each bag is hand numbered.

Recommend infusion of 1-2 tablespoon of loose tea per 8 oz of hot water and infusing for at least 5 minutes. The flavors and scent will change the longer it steeps, so be sure to take some time while your brew infuses to experience the journey.
