A delicate arrangement of dried florals-in hues of the falling leaves around us. An ode to the ephemerality of autumn.
Floral arrangements are such a beautiful sentiment whether for a simple sweet gesture, a grand formal statement, or to offer a spot of brightness and sweetness with loss. Photos help preserve the memories, but I love exploring what can be done with already preserved arrangements. With the crowns you’ve already seen, it can be tricky to find what can withhold a bit of battering, but the beauty of a bouquet is the simplicity of how it is displayed and held. You can protect the delicate petals of the roses with branches made of tougher stuff and keep the memory of beauty as keen as the day you first got it. Sure, it will fade a bit with time but nothing like the stark decay from life to death. There is the beauty in that to be sure, but of a different kind.
