Tipping the Velvet Black & Oolong Tea Blend

For the June OGA Tea Guild, we looked to the novel Tipping the Velvet by Sarah Waters and chose that as the Member blend inspiration, thinking of male impersonators in clubs and the types of stiff drinks you may be able to order. The base is reminiscent of a London Fog with earl grey mixed with a vanilla sweet-like black tea, husky and sweet cacao husk will mix with the bergamot notes of the earl grey and will be topped off by pungent cardamom, and this will all be mellowed with soft floral notes from oolong at it's heart.
The flavors and scent will change as the tea steeps, so be sure to take some time while your brew infuses to experience the journey.
Ingredients:
Black tea, earl grey, oolong, cacao husk, cardamom
The tea bag contains around 1.5 ounces of loose leaf tea, the jar contains 3.5-4 ounces of loose leaf tea.
