For the November OGA Tea Guild member blend, we took inspiration from Persephone's return to Hades with some darling pomegranate. A black tea base with a kiss of curling lapsang souchong smoke and earthy pu-erh, pomegranate seeds stud this dark brew that still carries the lingering sweetness of spring with rosebuds and the seductive smooth flavor of vanilla bean.

 

The flavors and scent will change as the tea steeps, so be sure to take some time while your brew infuses to experience the journey.

 

Ingredients:

Black tea, pu-erh tea, lapsang souchong tea, pomegranate, rose petals, vanilla bean

The tea bag contains around 1.5 ounces of loose leaf tea, the jar contains 3.5-4 ounces of loose leaf tea.

Cozy smoky tea

This tea has become one of my favorites, a rival for Night Circus. It is smoky, but the pomegranate and rose add a festive and cozy feel which was perfect for winter break the year it was released. In my opinion, the earthiness is subtle in this one, which is good for me.

If you are a Stardew Valley fan, it has the perfect feel to go mining with your friends or family. It's just the right amount of danger and comfort. My family played a lot of that the first year it was released and it is nostalgic already. It's a "winter" tea, but I like it as a summer break / camp feel too, so I'll be stocking up.
