Non-Caffeinated Tea Blend

Alchemy: Nigredo is a dark rich and earthy cacao blend. Think bitter dark chocolate, this blend is made up of cacao husk and nib, roasted dandelion root, chicory, burdock root, and butterfly pea flower to aid in the tea alchemy to brew it up as a dark rich earthy brown, almost black in your cup. This stage of the Magnum Opus is noted for decomposition or putrefaction which is not an ideal flavor profile for tea, so I have opted to go for the dark rich earthy flavor profile. You can lighten it with some sweetness or milk and treat it as a lesser caffeinated alternative for coffee or as a dark chocolate tea like brew.

Recommend infusion of 1-2 tablespoon of loose tea per 8 oz of hot water and infusing for at least 5 minutes. The flavors and scent will change the longer it steeps, so be sure to take some time while your brew infuses to experience the journey.

Ingredients:

Cacao husk and nib, dandelion root, burdock root, chicory, chaga mushroom, butterfly pea flower.
